As gas prices are reaching record heights, you must not miss even a single opportunity to improve your car’s gas mileage. First of all, you should make sure that the intake system of your car is properly working and the intake filter is absolutely clean.

The filter gets covered with dirt, dust and debris with usage and time and thus, you need to clean it periodically to ensure maximum gas mileage. You also need to ensure that you are using the right octane gasoline in your car. This means that if your car requires premium, then you must use premium only, but if you are using premium on a car that requires only regular, then this will not improve its gas mileage but will only cost you too much. Other than this, you should also ensure that the tires of your car are inflated with the correct pressure. Under-inflated tires will lead to more drag and thus decrease your car’s gas mileage.
