Because of increased consciousness towards green environment, the demand for green cars has also increased manifolds. Keeping at par with this, Audi has announced the launching of its Audi Q5 Hybrid SUV in the year 2011. It has been reported that Audi is going to install new gasoline-electric power train to the Q5 and also launching an economical turbo-diesel variant of Q5 after hybrid. Because US have more demands for hybrid technology, Audi has planned to send its Q5 Hybrid before its diesel variant. It is not a very big car but because it is quite high, it has enough space inside.

It is a fact that the new RX 450h from Lexus is already leading the hybrid race of compact crossover and BMW is all set to launch its X6 ActiveHybrid, and therefore, Audi’s decision to launch its hybrid car is more of a competition than innovation. The Audi Q5 Hybrid SUV will share much of its design features with A4 and A5 models and it is one of the most sought after car models in the market. The price of the car is around $5.5 Million.
